I had planned on posting this yesterday

Well, I had planned on posting this yesterday as the 2nd Memorial Day Post, but I got busy and it didn't happen.  So here is my HOT tribute to men in uniform.  Mainly it's just guys in camouflage or that look vaguely military or paramilitary to me, and of course the obligatory American Flag shot, but they're all still hot.

Remembering Fallen Heroes

I'm going to be making two posts today.  This is my first one and in it I want to remember the fallen heroes of the United States of America - the men and women who have given their lives on foreign soil and during domestic turmoil so that freedom shall not perish from this Earth.

Please consider visiting The Iraq & Afghanistan War Hero Project to understand the true nature of heroism and the true cost of our ill thought out and ill planned overseas actions.

Things I hate

Well, I seem to have woken up on the wrong side of the bed this morning because today I'm going to talk about things that I just hate in guys.  Things that definitely cross a guy off my list of being "ideal."

First up, Crazy Hair.  I love a guy who is gorgeous naturally.  So why mess with all that product and crazy colors.  Pretty much anything Jedward would do with hair is right out. I also hate long hair.  There are only a very few, rare instances where I think a guy with long hair is good looking.  I'm actually rather conservative.  I like my guys to look like guys.  Here are some examples of what I hate in hair.

The next thing I hate is guys flicking off the camera.  It's not cute and it's not funny.  It's stupid and insulting.  All you are doing is displaying your own startling level of immaturity.

Eurofashion/High Fashion is another huge pet peeve of mine.  It makes no sense.  It's a mutual appreciation society of useless, prissy queens who think they are better than everyone else because they make obscenely ugly clothing that is so impractical and useless that no one in their right mind would ever buy it much less wear it.  Yet as a community we fawn over it and the posers who create this crap.  Even I'm guilty to a degree.  I have a link to a fashion magazine in my links section because they often have photo shoots of gorgeous models but you still have to wade through the images of absurd clothing to get there.

Sometimes it's not a look or a style it's a person that I just can't stand. The two that are at the top of my list right now are Robert Pattinson and Justin Bieber. I just don't understand why all those stupid girls are fawning over either of them. Robert Pattinson is one of the ugliest men alive. His face looks deformed. By all reports he suffers from a horrible body order problem.  He has a hideous body.  Older photos of him show a complete lack of any real body.  And even for the twilight movies they apparently had to use prosthetics to bulk him up and spray one shadows to make it appear that he had muscles.  He's a complete loser and ugly to boot.  Justin Bieber is another one that makes no sense to me.  He looks like a young lesbian.  He may have a nice singing voice but his songs are horrible.  And I can't wait for his voice to start changing.  It's going to be hilarious.

Here's probably a huge surprise for my readers.  Something I truly hate is blasphemous photos.  I may be gay and I love the sight of a beautiful man as much as the next guy, but I am also a devout Christian.  It is trendy to attack Christianity for Liberals and in Europe Anti-Semitism has once again raised its ugly head.  But it is never acceptable to belittle or demean the faith of others.  The only religion these "enlightened" liberals dare not attack is Islam because they fear the violent reaction that would inevitably follow.  It is much easier to attack those who react only with prayer and offers of forgiveness.  I can't stand cowards and I can't stand those who attack religion.

Another one on my list of things I can't stand in photos or seeing glorified in film is drug use.  Drugs are not a healthy lifestyle.  They just aren't.  Study after study has shown the harmful health effects of every form of mind altering substance.  Even the safest forms of drugs, such as marijuana, when used regularly and over the long term have been shown to cause memory loss, brain function loss and pulmonary impairment.  It may not be as bad as smoking cigarettes but that's not saying much.  We don't help each other or anyone else by glorifying illegal drug use so aside from the example photo it's not something you're going to see on this blog.  The bong is completely unnecessary for the photo of this hot guy.

On a lighter note, and on a point that I know there will be lots of disagreement, I hate tattoos.  I know that some guys think tattoos are hot.  But I can't stand tattoos.  I love the look of skin stretched over muscles, gliding over flexing and straining motions.  Tattoos distract the eyes from this complex dance of natural beauty.  For me it's like adding a top coat of white paint over the Mona Lisa.  It was already a masterpiece so why add something else?  I'm going to give an example by showing the body of Ryan Sheckler before his tattoos and then after.  Along with some other guys with tattoos.

Finally, my most shocking "hate" of all.  I feel I have to come out of closet in a way to all of you.  20 years ago I came out of the closet to my family and friends as gay.  It was a momentous occasion.  I lost some friends in the process.  Some of my family members still won't acknowledge my existence.  But it was something I had to do to be true to myself.  In the same way and for the same reason I have to come out to all of you but about something different.  I mentioned aspects of it in passing.  I am a highly religious, devout, Christian who is also politically and socially conservative.  There I said it.  I know, I'm a rarity in the gay community.  But I'm also brutally honest about who I am.  I can't be me unless I'm free to be me.  And you can't be you unless you're free to be you.  And I believe that as long as both of us are willing to die for the right of both of us to be free to be ourselves then it doesn't matter if we are the same or different.

So now for that final hate, which flows out of that conservative & Christian outlook.  I don't like full nudity.  I actually find it rather repulsive.  I don't even like to see my husband nude.  I am personally of the opinion that human genitalia is a giant practical joke played on humanity by God.  Heck, a part of me has always wondered if I didn't wind up gay simply because I am so repulsed by the sight of a vagina.  So I will never intentionally show a fully naked picture of a guy on this blog.  Not only would that be against the Google Terms of Service but it would also not be within my concept of ideal.  I find a picture of a guy in a speedo or a pair of jeans much sexier than that same guy completely naked.  That's just me.

So there's my "Things I Hate" post.  Feel free to chime in with things you hate or why you disagree with my dislikes.  Just remember, it's my blog so the only one who can change my mind about my posting habits is me.
